Event Details

Date: Tuesday, April 10, 2018

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Location: Peoria Street bridge over Interstate 290, Jane Byrne Interchange, Chicago, IL

The Jane Byrne interchange is the junction of three major interstates in the city of Chicago. Its complex construction zone encompasses bustling adjacent communities, pedestrian and bicycle bridges, a transit system, a major university and a vital hub for freight traffic. The Jane Byrne Interchange work zone emulates the Department’s goal toward a multimodal transportation system and reinforces the message that driving habits impact motorists, cyclists, workers and pedestrians. Whether you choose to drive, walk, bike or take public transportation, remember this year’s theme… Work Zone Safety: Everybody’s Responsibility.
