Lane closures on US 24/US 150 begin July 19 for patching, maintenance
EAST PEORIA - The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that lane closures will begin on July 19, weather permitting, on U.S. 24/U.S. 150 between the Illinois River and Hollands Grove Road and the ramps at the interchange with Illinois 116 for partial depth patching. The work, which is part of regular maintenance, is expected to last for approximately three weeks.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
