I-74 ramps at Bell School Road interchange close July 19 for resurfacing
PEORIA - The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that resurfacing of Bell School Road (exit 71) ramps will begin July 19. Bell School Road (exit 71) and Interstate 74 interchange ramps will close at 7 a.m. July 19 and reopen by 5:30 p.m. July 23.
Simultaneous closures of the Bell School Road ramps can be expected. Traffic will be directed by a marked detour.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
