Public hearing on I-55 at Illinois 59 Access Study - U.S. 52 from River Road to Houbolt Road

Website The purpose of the hearing is to inform the public about the project development process, present the proposed preferred alternative, including the impacts to Hammel Woods and Rock Run Preserve and obtain public input. The proposed improvements include adding an additional lane with a curbed median in each direction on U.S. 52 between River Road and Illinois 59 and intersection improvements on U.S. 52 at Illinois 59 and at I-55 and Houbolt Road. Additional improvements include new sidewalks and connections to existing trail networks to provide a continuous path for pedestrians and bicyclists through the corridor
