Knowing that I am part of a group of individuals who can make a positive impact on leveling the playing field of opportunity for the small business and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises community gives me a huge sense of pride. It is my passion to do my part in ensuring that this community has opportunities in participating in projects and programs offered by IDOT while allowing us to be considered the premiere agency in that endeavor.

What’s your background?
I attended Kankakee Community College, receiving an associate degree in science, and Southern Illinois University Carbondale, receiving my civil engineering degree.
What prepared you for your role?
Having the opportunity to work as a civil engineer in the design and construction areas has allowed me to bring a well-rounded experience while administering the program, with an understanding of the barriers that small business and DBE contractors may face. I bring a unique perspective to this position. Hopefully that will enable this department to work seamlessly with the other vital departments within IDOT, thereby decreasing barriers and increasing the opportunities for those who desire to work with the state.
