The following were prepared to provide local public agencies officials with a quick reference to the source, distribution and uses of MFT funds.

The Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) law was amended, effective July 1, 2019. There will now be two monthly MFT allotments. The original MFT will be distributed from the Motor Fuel Tax Fund (MFTF). The increased MFT will distributed from the Transportation Renewal Fund (TRF). For more information, see Circular Letter 2019-18.
