Each year, the Illinois Department of Transportation develops the Annual Highway Improvement Program. This publication presents a detailed account of the proposed  highway improvements for Fiscal Year 2027.  It provides a current listing of the proposed projects sorted by district, location and phase of work to assist stakeholders with planning activities.

The letting look ahead (6 month look ahead – letting EXCEL) shows a list of construction projects anticipated to be advertised on a letting in the next 6 months by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).  This information is subject to change and provided for informational purposes only.

The PTB look ahead (6 month look ahead – PTB EXCEL) shows a list of engineering projects anticipated to be advertised on a PTB in the next 6 months by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).  This information is subject to change and provided for informational purposes only.

FY 2027 Highway Program Project Listing EXCEL – List of projects in programmed in the Fiscal Year 2027 Annual Highway Improvement Program.

Carry Over Project Listing EXCEL – List of projects that were not accomplished in FY 2026 and were carried over to the Fiscal Year 2027 Adjusted Annual Program.
