Highway Safety Plan
The Illinois Department of Transportation’s Division of Transportation Safety creates two annual publications: Highway Safety Plan and Annual Evaluation Report. The Highway Safety Plan details the programs/agencies that receive federal highway safety funds to implement effective countermeasures in reducing injuries and fatalities on Illinois roadways. The Annual Evaluation Report provides an overview of Illinois’ utilization of federal highway safety funds for the federal fiscal year and evaluations of various programs supported by these resources.
