Bridge Network Upgrade
A historic bridge network in downtown Joliet gets an upgrade.
There are several different bridge types throughout the state. One of the more impressive is the moveable bridge. Six are along the Des Plaines River in Joliet. These bridges are transportation timepieces. They have been around for close to a century, but getting ready for a big safety and operational upgrade that will allow them to be raised and lowered remotely.
