Registration
Before bidding or quoting on any IDOT contract, all truckers and suppliers must register with the department. Registration is fast and simple—just complete the online Trucker/Supplier Registration Form. This section provides key information about registration requirements and the responsibilities of subcontractors on IDOT projects.
Reminder! While federal law requires IDOT to maintain a list of all contractors and subcontractors working on department projects, only subcontractors must register before being approved to work, unless they are already prequalified contractors (who are automatically listed and do not need to register). Material suppliers, trucking companies, and companies providing professional services (consultants) are NOT included in this definition of subcontractor and are not required to register.
