Alternative Fuel
IDOT strives to be a leader in conservation, efficiency, and environmental stewardship in Illinois and throughout the nation. We do this through the integration of green practices in everyday business, construction, and design functions, while participating in and leading innovative initiatives. With that commitment at the forefront, and per Executive Order 11 (2009), IDOT’s goal is to have a motor fleet that includes vehicles that operate using alternative fuels. We also encourage Illinois' motoring public to do the same.
