Sexual Harassment
The Illinois Human Rights Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended in 1991, protects Illinois employees and students from sexual harassment. The law is enforced by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.
It is the policy of IDOT to ensure the workplace is free from sexual harassment. The department's policy on sexual harassment protects applicants and employees against sexual harassment and protects an employee who files a sexual harassment complaint from retaliation.
