Efficient Project Delivery
IDOT received the Award of Excellence in Urban Highways- FHWA’s Excellence in Highway Design Awards Program for its outstanding work on highways, bridges, pedestrian facilities, roadside facilities, and other facets of roadway design during the reconstruction of South Lake Shore Drive.
IDOT was recognized by American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials’ (AASHTO) for its organizational integration in its planning approach to Context Sensitive Solutions.

IDOT received an Emmy at the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the TV Academy for Best Public Service Announcement on “Cops Everywhere” series.
IDOT received its Telly Award for best local and regional television commercial on its “Loser” campaign.
