Quincy Memorial Bridge
The Illinois Department of Transportation is conducting a study for the improvement of eastbound US Route 24 (Quincy Memorial Bridge) over the Mississippi River at Quincy, Illinois. The west approach to the bridge is located in West Quincy, Marion County, Missouri and the east approach to the bridge is located in downtown Quincy, Illinois in Adams County.
The primary scope of the planning study is to evaluate alternatives for the improvement of the existing bridge. The alternatives may range from rehabilitating or reconstructing the existing bridge, to replacing it with a new bridge on its current alignment or a new alignment.
