Henry County: Illinois 81 Study from Union Street to Main Street in Kewanee

An open house will be held Thursday, April 6, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kewanee Public Library, 102 S. Tremont Street, Kewanee, Illinois, 61443.

The Illinois Department of Transportation is currently conducting a preliminary engineering and environmental study (Phase I) for the improvement of Illinois 81 (West Sixth Street) in Kewanee, Illinois in Henry County

The study was initiated in Spring 2019 and is examining transportation needs and solutions for the corridor through a public involvement process. The study area starts at 0.2 miles west of Union Street to 0.3 Miles west of Illinois 78 (North Main Street).
