Ogle County - Illinois 251 from Flagg Road to Illinois 38 in Rochelle
The purpose of the project is to reconstruct and widen Illinois 251 in Rochelle from approximately 0.3 miles north of Flagg Road to 0.2 miles south of Illinois 38 and includes improvements to the intersection of Illinois 38 and Illinois 251.
Illinois 251 will be widened to five lanes with a bi-directional turn lane in the project area. Other features include ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, improved bicycle and pedestrian accommodations, drainage improvements and proposed profile changes to achieve effective drainage.
The approved Phase I Design Report was completed under the guidelines of Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS). This project will continue select coordination/public involvement with the stakeholders identified in
Phase I.
