Study

IDOT utilized a new, comprehensive public involvement process known as Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) to help engineers determine what the new Fayette Avenue should look like.

Phase I included forming a citizen’s advisory group (CAG) to assist IDOT in determining the scope of work and preliminary design.
A total of eight (8) meetings were held from July, 2006 until February, 2008, including 2 open house public meetings, in order to gather comments.

The Phase I (Study) Report was approved in 2012.
