Highway Maps
The Highway Maps section includes Work Zones, General Highway Maps depicting county, city, and township maps which emphasize the road network inside the specific geographic area, 5-Year Functional Classification (Rural & Urban) Maps allowing users to select a map that will provide graphical representation of the FHWA functional classifications of the roadways, and Annual Daily Traffic Maps. The maps are broken down IDOT districts and are available in PDF format.

Map Ordering
To order hard copies of Illinois Official Highway or Bicycle Maps please complete a Illinois Map Request.
The Illinois Department of Transportation provides maps upon request to be used strictly for transportation-related purposes. At this time, we are limiting 1 map per email/mailing address. If you are a school, library, law enforcement agency or any other institution in need of a larger volume, the request will need to be submitted from an official school/library/law enforcement email account to DOT.Maps@illinois.gov.
