SCAM ALERT:  A current text message smishing scam claims recipients owe money associated with traffic tickets, tolls, and other fines.  These are not legitimate messages from the Illinois Department of Transportation.  If you receive a message report it to the Federal Trade Commission and/or the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center.

Public Meeting Notice

IDOT is hosting a public meeting for this project on:

Wednesday, October 29, 2025, 4-7 p.m.

Southwestern Illinois Justice Workforce Development Campus (Welcome Center)

2300 West Main, Belleville

Open House Public Meeting: No Formal Presentation

 

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the importance of making improvements to IL Route 13 from IL Route 157 to South 23rd Street.

This meeting will take place in an open-house format. You may come and go at any time during the scheduled meeting hours and examine the displays discussing study information. IDOT representatives will be available to answer questions throughout the meeting.

After the meeting, all exhibits and handouts from the meeting will be posted on this webpage. IDOT would welcome input from the public on this project, therefore, there will also be an online portal to leave comments through November 21st

The study includes multiple opportunities for you to participate by submitting comments, attending public meetings, and keeping informed through this website and newsletters. We will update this website as the IL Route 13 Phase I Study progresses to help you stay informed.
