As part of stakeholder outreach for the off-system bundling program, the off-system bundling program team heard from counties on the implementation of off-system structure bundling. See below for additional information.
County Webinars
In addition, the IDOT program team hosted two webinars to share information with industry stakeholders and receive feedback on the off-system structures bundling program. One webinar was structured for general industry and the other for DBEs. Participants were given an opportunity to comment on the program.

The IDOT program team hosted a webinar on 11/4/2024, to provide an overview of off-system structure bundling and to receive feedback from counties.
County Orientation Webinar on 11/4/2024
The IDOT program team hosted a second webinar on 12/19/2024 to provide instructions on validation of off-system structures screened using data from the Illinois Structure Information System database. It also introduced questions for owners to provide feedback on, to assist in determining the best structures for the bundling program.
County Off-System Structure Identification Kickoff Webinar on 12/19/2024
The IDOT program team hosted two webinars to provide an overview of bridge bundling and hear from industry stakeholders on any questions and feedback. These webinars included one industry webinar and one DBE-focused webinar. DBEs were welcome to participate in both webinars. As the State of Illinois explores the potential for bridge bundling, particular emphasis is being placed on the potential of a bundling program to support robust DBE participation - the DBE-specific webinar presented the same overview information, with a facilitated discussion focused on the unique opportunities and perspectives of the DBE community.
State-structures Bundling Program
The Illinois Department of Transportation explored the potential for State-owned bridge and culvert bundling with particular emphasis being placed on the potential of a bundling program to support DBE participation. The IDOT program team hosted two webinars to provide an overview of the bundling program and hear from industry stakeholders on any questions and feedback. A DBE focused webinar presented the same overview information along with a facilitated discussion on opportunities and perspectives of the DBE community.
