·         No “call in” required; participants will be contacted directly by the project team on the night of the town hall.

·         Functions like a “talk radio” show – participants can listen, ask questions, share concerns, participate in live polling, and get to know the project team.

·         The purpose of this telephone town hall meeting is to provide a project update and take questions and comments from attendees to better understand anticipated project impacts so we can work to minimize inconvenience and hardship.

As a part of the historic and bipartisan Rebuild Illinois plan, the Illinois Department of Transportation has initiated a Phase 1, Preliminary Engineering and Environmental Study for Illinois 2 and 75, known as Blackhawk Boulevard, in South Beloit, with project limits extending from Prairie Hill Road to the south and the Wisconsin state line to the north. The study will evaluate rehabilitation/reconstruction of approximately 2.05 miles of roadway to address known deficiencies, to improve safety for motorists and pedestrians, and accommodate future traffic projections.

This website has been created to provide information to the public about the project as the study develops and to facilitate public input by providing a means to ask questions or comment on the project.
