Because stakeholder involvement is critical to the planning process for this study, a Stakeholder Involvement Plan (SIP) has been developed to guide the stakeholder involvement program.
Community Advisory Group
IDOT has formed a Community Advisory Group (CAG) to ensure the values and interests of the community are incorporated into project solutions.
The CAG supports the CSS approach and stakeholder engagement program during the planning process. The CAG will be comprised of community leaders, including elected officials, representatives from local municipalities, homeowners, business owners, and local special interest groups.
The CAG ensures that identified solutions balance community, technical and long-range planning needs. It also assists in keeping the project on the right track with respect to implementation. The CAG will provide input at key milestones throughout Phase I of the planning process. CAG meetings will be designed to encourage timely and meaningful input by members.
