Local Roads Special Provisions and Special Details

Local Roads Special Provisions are Contract Provisions issued for statewide local agency use. These special provisions are written to cover the needs of local agencies when they differ from those of the state. These special provisions are designated with an LR before a number. The number references the section number of the 'Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction 2016' (for example: LR 212 is related to Section 212 FINAL SHAPING, TRIMMING, AND FINISHING).

Local Roads Special Details are designed to be used with recurring special provisions or LR special provisions. These special details are designated with a LR SD before a number. The number references the check sheet item in which the special detail or special provision belong.

Development and Usage of Specification and Special Provisions for Local Agencies has been provided to provide local agencies and consultants a quick reference to the development and use of specifications and special provisions.

Check Sheet

The Check Sheet contains a listing of Recurring Special Provisions. The check sheet shall be placed in the contract documents with mandatory or desired special provisions checked. Check Sheet

The Usage Sheet gives the project usage of the year's recurring, inserted, and local roads special provisions. Usage Sheet.

BDE Check Sheet

The 'BDE Check Sheet’ contains a listing of Special Provisions from the Bureau of Design and Environment. The BDE check sheet shall be placed in the contract documents with mandatory or desired special provisions checked.
