SCAM ALERT:  A current text message smishing scam claims recipients owe money associated with traffic tickets, tolls, and other fines.  These are not legitimate messages from the Illinois Department of Transportation.  If you receive a message report it to the Federal Trade Commission and/or the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center.

Interstate 94 at 111th Street Study

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has initiated preliminary engineering and environmental studies (Phase I) for the improvement of Interstate 94 (I-94) at 111th Street in the City of Chicago, Cook County.  The proposed scope of work is anticipated to consist of interchange improvement.

Note: IDOT projects typically have three distinct phases.  Phase I (or the project Study) consists of developing the project scope, environmental studies and preliminary design of a project.  Phase II (Design) consists of refining the design to develop contract plans and conduct land acquisition.  Phase III (Construction) consists of the actual construction of the project.
